The Singapore Tamil Society (STS), known as Singai Tamil Sangam in Tamil, is one of the oldest Tamil associations in Singapore. First founded as the Tamils Reform Association (TRA) on 23 June 1932, it was renamed as Singai Tamil Sangam in 2001. Along with the name change, the association's fundamental objectives and activities also underwent changes. TRA was founded by G Sarangapany, a prominent Tamil leader then, and a group of reform-minded Tamils to help educate and raise the socio-economic status of the Tamil community and reform its social mores and practices. STS currently focuses on promoting Tamil language and Tamil cultural activities, especially among young Tamils. It also has special programmes to reach out to vulnerable communities. STS actively participates in the annual Tamil Language Festival and the Tamil Youth Festival and has been a long-standing partner of the Tamil Language Council in organising events to promote Tamil language and culture.

A notable contribution of STS is the launch of a Tamil digital dictionary in 2019. Another of its flagship projects is Sorkanal, an annual inter-university Tamil debate competition, inaugurated in 2023. The objective of this competition is to enhance university students' interest in Tamil and provide them with a platform to debate topics at a higher level than school debates.
