The Little Red Dot on the World Map

When I was young and was introduced to the world map, I always wondered. What are the chances of me being born in such a tiny red dot on the world map. It must be fate. Singapore, a country so small with limited resources have come so far. To become an independent country which is able to provide for its people. To become a country strong in all aspects and well-respected in Asia and around the world. The clean water which we can drink from the tap. The sense of security we feel when we're out late in the night. The stability of the country even in times of crisis and knowing that we will be taken care of. All these, are the work of many determined, committed and hardworking great men. But it would not have happened without one great, true leader.
