Nadi, meaning “pulse”, was a Tamil periodical of the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore, published from 2006 to 2019. It carried the English tagline ‘Pulse of the Singapore Muslim Community.’ The names of the editorial team were not found in the pages of Nadi, although some local writers, such as J M Sali, are known to have contributed.

The origins of Nadi go back to Seithichudar, a quarterly Tamil newsletter published by MUIS from March 1992. In August 2006, it was renamed Nadi, signifying a shift in its aspiration to serve the Tamil Muslim community by providing a platform for the greater sharing of information and exchange of thoughts. Nadi included coverage of events, announcements, and quotes from the Quran, among other content.

The 12-page publication was distributed free of charge but was of irregular frequency, ranging from one to four issues between 2006 and 2019. In June 2019, the 34th and last issue of Nadi was published. The reasons for its closure are not known.
