Indranee Rajah (b. 1963) is a cabinet minister in the People’s Action Party (PAP) Government and Leader of the House in Parliament. She is also the first female President of the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA). Born in Singapore, Rajah attended Marymount Convent Primary and Secondary Schools, followed by Raffles Institution. She graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1986 with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 1987. Her legal career began with Freshfields as a legal associate, and she later joined the Litigation Department at Drew & Napier in 1988. She became a Senior Counsel in 2003 and served as the Deputy Head of Drew & Napier’s Dispute Resolution Department. Rajah's legal practice focused on cross-border commercial disputes and international arbitration. In 2012, she left to join the government. A member of PAP, Rajah has represented the Tanjong Pagar Group Representation Constituency (GRC) as a Member of Parliament (MP) from 2001 to 2025. Since 2025, she has been the MP for Pasir Ris-Changi GRC. In 2012, she was appointed Senior Minister of State for Law and Education. Since 2025, she has been Minister in Prime Minister's Office, Second Minister for Finance, and Second Minister for National Development.

Within her law portfolio, she co-chaired key committees, including those on Family Justice and the formation of the Singapore International Commercial Court. She has also served as Co-Chair of the Committee on Strengthening Singapore as a Restructuring Hub and as Chair of the Steering Committee on the strategic direction of Singapore’s third law school at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. In her education portfolio, Rajah led the Committee for Applied Studies in Polytechnics and ITE (ASPIRE). The ASPIRE report led to the establishment of SkillsFuture Singapore, a national movement aimed at aligning education with economic demand, providing career guidance, and promoting lifelong learning. In 2018, she was appointed as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Finance, and Second Minister for Education. Since 2020, she has been serving as Second Minister for Finance, Second Minister for National Development and Leader of the House in Parliament. In addition to holding her cabinet posts, Indranee Rajah serves as President of SINDA and as a Term Trustee.
