Digitised from the original CD. This album is a selection of the composer's works grounded on a wide array of contemporary composing techniques. His music is inspired by his background experience in stage musicals, Chinese folk song arrangement, rock album production, jazz performance and south Indian percussion under legendary Carnatic virtuoso Trinchy Sankaran. Tang's works have been performed by renowned orchestras, chamber music ensembles as well as local symphonic bands. His musical approach emerges from a confluence of diverse sources encompassing Schenkerin theory, Baroque counterpoint, parametic analysis and serial procedures.
