Digitised from the original CD. Yakamashii... a Japanese word for “noisy”. Though Yakamashii’s music is considered noisy it’s actually soothing for some. Formed in 1999 these four talented young Singaporean buddies started playing serious metal music when they participated in Clash Of The Bands ‘99. They came runners-up and also clinched Best Guitarist award at the same time. In 2001 “Insomnia” was recorded in Bandung, Indonesia under producer Moliano of Lovehunters. “Insomnia” was nominated as Best New Group (Regional) and Best New Album along Sheila on 7, Raihan, Amok and Padi in the APM 2002 Awards. Their music video even got up to the third place on MTV Boom (TCS). More awards continue coming their way after that.
