Synopsis:
This publication was produced in association with the travelling exhibition, ‘Nanqiao Jigong: The Extraordinary Story of Nanyang Drivers and Mechanics Who Returned to China During the Sino-Japanese War’. The exhibition was jointly curated by the National Archives of Singapore, the State Archives Administration of China and the Yunnan Provincial Archives, and examines how overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia rallied to China’s aid during Second Sino-Japanese War. The Singapore leg of the exhibition was held in October 2009.
