Job Responsibilities

The job holder will provide support for budget operations including budget monitoring; budget allocation; administrative and technical support to the fund management module of the Financial Accounting System. You will assist with the cash management and accounts for the donated funds as well as the costing of services.

  • Attend to budget operational matters such as rectification of budget errors and processing of manual budget virements

  • Guide budget coordinators and other NLB staff on budgetary concepts and how to run fund reports

  • Assist with budget collation and analysis for budget exercises and workplanning

  • Assist with the preparation of utilisation reports to management

  • Liaise with consultants on any system issues encountered

  • Maintain a full set of accounts for The Library Fund and ensure the financials are up-to-date

  • Prepare monthly schedules, bank reconciliations and update finance reports for the Library Fund

  • Assist in the annual costing exercise

  • Update AGD portal on the planned cashflows

  • Prepare monthly reconciliations to AGD statements

Job Requirements

  • Preferably 1-2 years of relevant experience (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)

  • Certified accountant or equivalent qualification

  • Meticulous, analytical and able to multi-task under tight deadlines

  • Good written and communication skills

  • Knowledge of SAP Financial system will be an added advantage

  • Strong team player, independent and self-driven to meet tight deadlines

The successful applicant will be appointed on a 2-year contract.
