Storytelling is one of the most powerful communication tools at the workplace. Recall convincing presentations that had strong narratives, or the times when your colleagues swayed your opinion using a simple anecdote. Communicating through stories makes people want to listen, believe and remember what you say.

This sharing session will introduce you to the concept of strategic business storytelling using real-life examples. There will be a hands-on segment where the speaker will take you through step-by-step to formulate simple stories and put theory into practice. Sharing of stories will be on a voluntary basis. At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • Understand the power of storytelling as a communication tool
  • Identify when to use and when not to use storytelling at the workplace
  • Know how to shape and tell a story in an organisational setting
  • Put the storytelling principles we have covered into practice by crafting your own story

Handouts will be provided.
