Dementia is a disease affecting the brain and its ability to function. There are many underlying causes for dementia, each with its own treatment plans and management strategies. There are many stages in dementia, each with its own problems; requiring different types of supporting networks. Apart from medical management, it is crucial to know about the many other facets such as legal matters, financial support structures and manpower help.

In this talk, Dr Tan will briefly give an overview of dementia, its causes and management plans.
