Millinery is the design and craft of hats and head-wear. Sau Fen (Heads of State Millinery) is doing a residency with library@orchard from June to August 2018. In this open studio session, you are invited to drop by her pop-up studio anytime between 2pm – 5pm to say hello and check out some of her fantastical hat creations!

Please note that this programme is not a workshop.
About the Resident:
Sau Fen is the face behind Heads of State Millinery. She is an award-winning self-taught designer who has worked for more than 15 years in the visual arts, exhibition, and events industries. Since switching to focus on her creative work in 2011, Sau Fen is is gaining recognition for her art in the fashion industry which explores issues on sustainability.

Heads of State Millinery designs sustainable statement hats. By applying radical redesign to the art of hat-making, the lable creates fresh applications for regional indigineous craft traditions and overlooked raw materials. Their hats highligts the beauty of overlooked natural raw materials, addressing ecological concerns and their resultant social impact.
