A city is more than a collection of buildings. Each one contains its own unique stories, memories, and possibilities that are waiting to be discovered and added to. But how do we discover these stories? How do we collect theese stories and write our own? What should these books look like?

To unpack these questions, we bring together a writer, a photographer, a historian, and a designer who all share a common muse: the city. They will each share their individual approaches to reading between the lines of a city in their quest to discover the deeper narratives that are hiding in plain sight. A conversation across the four disciplines will then follow where we will explore the margins and footnotes of the cities that are waiting to be read.

Gideon Kong, Graphic Designer
Mindy Tan, Photographer
Nabilah Said, Editor/ Playwright/ Copywriter
Eisen Teo, Historian
