How Do You Lunch returns for Read! Fest 2019. Started in 2014, Shophouse & Co brings this initiative to redesign your lunch experience in the city from one that is rushed and flustered to one that is paced and inspiring.

Pack a sandwich or order one of our exclusive lunch packages from our food partner, Don Play Play! And join us for a specially curated line-up of lunch-time talks from Monday to Friday at the Plaza.

Eat, share and leave feeling inspired as our different speakers share their experiences and give you something new to chew on over lunch everyday.

Admission is free.

Wednesday Lunch with Nithiya Laila
Join culinary anthropologist Nithiya as she shares her interest in the memories and journeys that food carry. Find out how caring for where your produce comes from begins an enchanted voyge of discovery of environment, of flavour, of dedication. The time we give ourselves to nourish is beyond just the physical; eating and cooking is also about building connection and culture.

Nithiya Laila comes from a long line of farmers who reaped the fruits of land for both nourishment and healing. This philosophy of sustainability and conscious consumption informs her approach to food and in the Brunch Bandits social dining clubs that she runs. You can watch her work in her latest TV series on Channel News Asia about Asia's urban Edible Wild.
