How Do You Lunch returns for Read! Fest 2019. Started in 2014, Shophouse & Co brings this initiative to redesign your lunch experience in the city from one that is rushed and flustered to one that is paced and inspiring.

Pack a sandwich or order one of our exclusive lunch packages from our food partner, Don Play Play! And join us for a specially curated line-up of lunch-time talks from Monday to Friday at the Plaza.

Eat, share and leave feeling inspired as our different speakers share their experiences and give you something new to chew on over lunch everyday.

Friday Lunch with Jason Chan & Christian Lee
Join local filmmakers Jason Chan and Christian Lee as they take us on a journey from the dream of filmmaking to being whisked off to Okinawa where they birthed the idea of Jimami the Tofu the Movie - now the longest running film in Singapore. Despite multiple hurdles, they came back and put together a film that has now been in Singapore cinemas for over a year.

Christian Lee & Jason Chan are co-founders of BananaMana Films. Both were actors before deciding to become filmmakers to address the actors before deciding to become filmmakers to address the problem of lack of Asian representation in global media. With Youtube as their film school they love the indie spirit and believe you can achieve anything if you're just willing to say "YES AND...".

Admission is free.

This year, the sixth instalment of Read! Fest is anchored on the theme of Voyage. Book a trip with us and discover alternative forms of reading at Read! Fest 2019 programmes as we journey through space and time, only from 22 June – 28 July.
