The Proletariat Poetry Factory clocks in at The Plaza! Join them as they perform proses and poems on this year’s theme: Voyage. The work process remains the same, as it always has been. Give us a word to inspire the poem, leave a name behind and collect the typewritten poem when it's done!

About the Proletariat Poetry Factory
Proletariat Poetry Factory is a collective, bound together by the common desire to deal with the inherent collusion of the need to consume, and the need to produce, with the deeper subtext being the questionable nature of capitalism. These poetry improvisation specialists will create instant poems on typewriters based on a random word contributed by the public. The poems hopes to embody the values of the working class, thereby redeeming our lost souls by giving ourselves over fully to the very ideology that consumes us and how it’ll affect our future.

Admission is free.

This year, the sixth instalment of Read! Fest is anchored on the theme of Voyage. Book a trip with us and discover alternative forms of reading at Read! Fest 2019 programmes as we journey through space and time, only from 22 June – 28 July.
