The talk seeks to inform parents of ways that consistently support their children's passion to be educated at school, and for that matter, in any subject.

It will touch on learning theories, contingent to achieving their goals about education for their children, and why they matter in accomplishing their aspirations, towards a higher future.

The talk will also offer useful tips in supporting young children with creative writing.

About the Speaker
RUTH LEONG began her early career in the usual humdrum way that most people do, in a job that she enjoyed which paid the bills. She soon began to feel that there was much more that she could be doing by working with school children, to teach them and help them improve their school performance.

Thus her early advocacy for re-training commenced and she made a mid-career switch to find a new lease of life as a teacher. She discovered a renewed sense of purpose when she began operating her own centre in 1998, educating students in English and Mathematics so that they can achieve their fullest potential.

She is also the author of Coaching Your Child to Ace Composition Writing.
