Get Lucky: An Anthology of Singaporean and Philippine Writings, published in 2015, is an anthology of everything Filipino in Singapore. Through this collection, Get Lucky has fostered a fellowship in mutual trust among Filipinos and with Singaporeans. It has been four years since Get Lucky and yet it continues to be a relevant example of collaboration between Singapore and the Philippines. It is in this spirit that contributors of Get Lucky are brought together to continue the discussion, the exchange and to celebrate the sharing of experiences. This is a reading and panel discussion co-presented with Poetry Festival (Singapore).

This event also marks the opening of Filipino Costumes Across Islands and Eras: A Photography Exhibit, curated by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association in Singapore (UPAAS), the exhibit showcases traditional Filipino costumes across the three main island groups of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Through a series of photographs, the exhibit will also demonstrate how the more popular costumes have evolved with time and how, despite the many variants, there is always a binding element that unifies the colours and fabrics into a distinct Filipino aesthetic.
