Dip your toes into the waters of western calligraphy with Scribblers Collective. The basic letter forms that are the building blocks of copperplate and modern calligraphy will be introduced. Learn how to use brush pens effectively to create variance in line thickness, a technique much used in contemporary calligraphy. By the end of the lesson, you should be able to write a simple quote.

This workshop is in conjunction with the '#WorkInProgress - Reviving Western Calligraphy & Lettering at library@orchard' exhibition running from 1 - 10 November 2017 at Trend Gallery.

About Scribblers Collective:
Scribblers Collective is a calligraphy collective based in Singapore. They specialise in multiple forms of calligraphy, from historically accurate 18th-century script, to modern and contemporary scripts.
