LULO Paper Studio is the featured artist for the third installation of CANVAS/S exclusively at Woodlands Regional Library. At this talk, Cheryl, the creative behind LULO Paper Studio, will share her unique approach to paper craft, including her inspiration, idea generation process and application of her craft in commercial work.

About the Speaker:
LULO Paper Studio is helmed by paper artist and illustrator Cheryl Teo. She is drawn to the tactile nature of paper and the meticulous process of creating playful sculptures out of paper. Her work often involves colourful representations of objects and explores scenes of everday life with a touch of whimsy. Her paper scenes aim to play with our perception of reality and the notion of surprise. She has been featured in local and international publications such as The Business Times Singapore, Frankie Magazine Australia, Flow Magazine France and Storm Media Taiwan. Her Instagram is @captain.lulo.

The contents for this talk are suitable for youths and adults. We highly recommend this programme for paper craft enthusiasts, art and design students, educators and creative practitioners.

About CANVAS/S
Each installation of CANVAS/S features one art form, proudly helmed by a local artist or collective. At the pop-up studio, get up close to the artworks and experiment with the materials and tools. You might even catch the artist at work! For the curious ones who want to delve deeper, sign up for the various programmes led by the artists.

CANVAS/S is brought to you by Artseen, a community arts initiative by the National Library Board and the National Arts Council, which seeks to create vibrant learning spaces for you to engage in authentic artistic experiences.
