The Arts Space on Level 8 of the National Library is a place where all are welcome to reflect, explore and create. Into the third season, the arts librarians have carefully curated readings and paintings from the National Library’s rich collections.
With Makan-Makan (feast) set as this season’s theme, join Leng Foong and Nadia as they explore how food plays a part in our everyday lives as captured by artists, writers and filmmakers through three themes – Chop! (food preparation), Chope! (street food/ hawker culture) and Chill (food in film).
Kong Leng Foong is a Librarian with the National Library, Singapore. In particular, she works with the performing arts collections and oversees MusicSG, the digital archive of Singapore music. Her research interests include Singapore performing arts, visual arts and arts education. She is also the Chair of the Library Association of Singapore (LAS) Publications Committee.
Nadia Ramli is an Associate Librarian with the National Library, Singapore. In particular, she works with the arts collections, with a focus on literary and visual arts.
