Inspired by the nearby farming industries in Choa Chu Kang, Lim Chu Kang and Kranji, the design concept of the Choa Chu Kang Public Library steers towards the serenity of nature, with the use of green and wood tones. The Choa Chu Kang Public Library serves the general information and recreational needs of the community with a start-up collection of approximately 190,000 volumes comprising magazine titles, fiction titles as well as non-fiction titles on Recreation, Travel, IT, Arts, Home and Garden, Cookery etc.
The Choa Chu Kang Public Library also provides basic services and facilities such as multilingual Online Public Access Catalogue, Multimedia Stations, Self-service Borrowing Stations, Library e-Kioks and Bookdrop service outside the library.
Occupying a floor area of 2,394 square metres, the library serves residents living in Choa Chu Kang, Yew Tee, Hong Kah North and Keat Hong under the Choa Chu Kang constituency.
As Choa Chu Kang Public Library will be closed for renovations from 10 June 2019 to 2021, patrons can visit Bukit Panjang Public Library, Bukit Batok Public Library and the reading corner located nearby at Limbang Park Residents’ Committee centre. We will progressively set up more community reading corners in the area.
