PublicationSG is the National Library's collection of our nation's published heritage. There are more than one million items collected. Topics span the diverse fields of literary and visual arts, business, social sciences and humanities.
The materials are collected through the Legal Deposit function of the National Library Board (NLB). Legal deposit (LD) refers to the mandatory requirement that every Singapore publisher deposits two copies of every publication published in Singapore with NLB. Publishers can deposit their materials via Deposit Web.
Due to space limitation at the Lee Kong Chian Library, the PublicationSG collection is located at an external venue. As the collection also preserves our print heritage, these items can only be retrieved for on-site consultation if there are no other loan or reference copies available in NLB’s Catalogue. NLB reserves the right to turn down requests to consult an item if the item is too fragile to handle.
You may use the Advanced Search feature in the catalogue to view all materials in the PublicationSG collection. To perform an Advanced Search, start by clicking the Advanced Search link under the search box in the catalogue. In the location field, select ‘PublicationSG’.
