Benjamin Kheng got his start in the arts and entertainment industry at the early age of 17, as a radio presenter for Lush 99.5FM. He started folk-pop quartet The Sam Willows in 2012 with 3 of his friends. The group grew in popularity and has performed at numerous festivals including the SXSW Festival in Texas, the Canadian Music Festival, MU:CON and Zandari Festa in Seoul, Digital & Music Matters in Singapore, and the Western Australian Music Festival in Perth. Home-grown cajon talent and powerhouse, Arthur Choo, is the founder and soul of the BEAT’ABOX GROUP.
Enterprising and fearless, Arthur has tried his hand at business since the age of 18. With music as his passion, he has performed as part of a group since his early 20s, doing shows in Asia, and then going solo with a few friends, in the local arts scene. One of the local pioneer artiste and trainers in cajon, Arthur saw the potential of this instrument, and pursued it with a passion, founding BEAT’ABOX in 2011.
Jiezhen is a lover, a fighter, and the girl boss at The Hidden Good (THG).
THG is a social initiative that aims to uncover the good in Singapore. Through the use of new media, guerrilla community activations, and innovative social experiments, THG serves as a platform for youth to create and celebrate the change they want to see in the world.
Chong Ee Jay is a member on board the Media Literacy Council to promote an astute and responsible participatory culture. He is also the Manager of TOUCH Cyber Wellness, a service of TOUCH Community Service. Ee Jay champions public education programmes both locally (through schools and national level efforts) and internationally, as well as counselling intervention and youth mentoring works.
