The Code of Animal Welfare (for Pet Owners) sets Minimum Standards on animal housing, management and care for pet owners to meet. It was drafted by the Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration Committee for Animal Welfare (MSCC), comprising representatives from the different public and private sectors, such as the Government, community, animal welfare groups, pet industry and veterinary professions. While formulating the Code, the MSCC took into consideration the varied interests of the various stakeholder groups represented in the Committee, and also the views of the wider public through an e-consultation conducted earlier.

The talk will cover the key content of the Code, and how the Code can be used to support enforcement actions on animal welfare cases. No registration required.
