Organised by the Singapore Philatelic Museum and supported by Ministry of Education, the annual national stamp collecting competition seeks to promote the study of postage stamps and philatelic materials to learn about the world.

Open to primary schools, secondary schools and tertiary institutions, participants select and research on a topic of their choice, and present their findings through the English language as well as the mother tongue languages; Chinese, Malay and Tamil and a variety of philatelic materials.

Participants gain to sharpen their research, organisation, language and writing skills.  Students will receive certificates and schools stand to compete for the championship trophy.

In-conjunction with NSCC, the Draw My Stamp Story Art Competition 2017 winning entries will also be displayed at The Plaza.  The competition allows students to appreciate the importance of the designs reflected on Singapore stamps as well as to express their creativity in the picture stories that they create.
