Heart Tips and Healthy Oil Free Recipes
We all know the dangers posed by unhealthy foods and wrong eating habits. One of the most predominant diseases caused by these wrong lifestyle habits is Coronary Heart Disease. Like most developed nations, Singapore is seeing a rise in heart disease cases. It is predicted that by 2020, heart disease will be the number one global disease burden.

In this workshop, we will discuss how to prevent and control the factors that cause Coronary Heart Disease. We will examine the foods to be avoided, optimal nutrition solutions and wise eating habits that would enable us to prevent or reverse the disease.

The workshop will also discuss the following topics:
1. What is Coronary Heart Disease?
2. What are the foods that promote or help prevent Coronary Heart Disease?
3. Benefits of adopting a low-oil and a no-oil diet.

Participants will also get to see the demonstrations of some tasty oil-free dishes.

About the Speaker:
Mayura Mohta, the book’s main author, is a nutrition consultant and the founder of Healthfriend - a social enterprise that conducts nutrition workshops and ploughs profits into charities that support underprivileged children. For the past 2 years, Healthfriend has conducted many nutrition workshops addressing various health issues for institutions such as WINGS, VSS, PRIMETIME, SCWO and UWCSEA.
