‘Singapore Childhood: Our Stories Then and Now’ Sharing Session
While children growing up in the past caught fish in the longkang under the hot sun and got themselves wet, children now fish on their phones in the comfort of their homes.
Join Lam Chun See (Blogger/ Author, ‘Good Morning Yesterday’) and Elizabeth Peeris (a retired nurse), as they share anecdotes from the book, as well as memories from their growing up years. This sharing session will be led by Steven Chia, Channel NewsAsia AM Live! Presenter.
Our tiny island has undergone extensive transformation and so have the lives of children as they grew up over the last 60 years. Singapore Children Society’s new book ‘Singapore Childhood: Our Stories Then and Now’ explores just that.
